A detective tries to kill Kenny Barnes, forcing him to run because The Regime believes he killed the comptroller. Desperate and bleeding, he kidnaps a Regime doctor, who must decide if Kenny is guilty or innocent.

Customer This was an exciting set of events that felt like a readable roller coaster full of emotions. You have love, death, mystery, excitement, humor, and everything wrapped up in one book. I am so excited to read the rest of the series to find out what happens. I could definitely see this being made into a movie. Though this book was futuristic, I was still able to connect to the characters and sympathize with their emotions. Well written and entertaining, would highly recommend it. He challenges you to see where we could go, the explorative adventures that await, as well as identifying inventive genius for the future. He uses the old and examines some possible concepts that assist in continuing to open the mind to new adventures that feed man's drive for acceptance of what could be.

William has been a Science Fiction enthusiast since his youth. Any title with ""Star"" in it always got his attention. In 2007, after seeing a Hubble Telescope picture of a binary star system with a nova and white dwarf, he imagined living on a planet orbiting the dying sun. This thought became the foundation for ""The Shadow Universe"" series. Fifteen years later, he finished a fantastic story spanning twenty years. Although a novice, he put much thought and time into every aspect of the story to make it something he could be proud of and that readers would enjoy.
