OverviewBased on a Hubble Telescope picture of a binary star system with a nova and white dwarf, ""The Shadow Universe"" series begins in the future, May 6, 2452, and includes six books: The Ways of Darkness, Running in the Shadows, Dawn of Darkness, Treasures of Darkness, Shadows of the Night, and When Darkness Falls. These books are for those who enjoy reading a fast-paced action-adventure space opera. Reading all six books is crucial because they do not stand alone, leaving cliffhangers at the end, except for When Darkness Falls, which concludes the story. As it evolves, many characters and plots tie together, and each one is essential to the outcome. Although set in a science fiction format, the saga is about people and our choices, so if you are not a science fiction fan but enjoy romance, suspense, action, and adventure, you may like this series as others have. The Shadow Universe II Running in the Shadows To everyone's surprise, Julie finds herself in an alien world. Zorion, the leader of Argi, a city in Akil, promises to return her to Earth within twenty-four hours, but during her stay, Julie meets a hologram of an ancient ruler who gives her troubling news. Now, she must decide whether to stay in a dying world or return home to safety. After Nayrah betrayed him, Olan must work as a rogue agent. With only one friend, Dolas, to help him, he desperately looks for clues that will help him stop the plot to kill Zorion, but he discovers that there is more than one Akilian who wants to see him dead. On Earth, Larkin struggles to return home before Rico's men find and kill them. His biggest fear is that Sables' dreams come true. Jared has a secondary mission to find and kill Diederich Schmidt. After waking up in a cell in Frankfurt, Germany, Jared discovers Diederich has also captured his brother's ex-girlfriend, Chu Lian. Now, he must find a way for her to escape too. A detective tries to kill Kenny Barnes, forcing him to run because The Regime believes he killed the comptroller. Desperate and bleeding, he kidnaps a Regime doctor, who must decide if Kenny is guilty or innocent. Author InformationWilliam has been a Science Fiction enthusiast since his youth. Any title with ""Star"" in it always got his attention. In 2007, after seeing a Hubble Telescope picture of a binary star system with a nova and white dwarf, he imagined living on a planet orbiting the dying sun. This thought became the foundation for ""The Shadow Universe"" series. Fifteen years later, he finished a fantastic story spanning twenty years. Although a novice, he put much thought and time into every aspect of the story to make it something he could be proud of and that readers would enjoy.
