A. Chiles is the pen name for Los Angeles based married couple Ashley and Anthony Chiles. Ashley, an elementary school teacher, envisioned a picture book series for her students that included black representation and focused on social and emotional learning. Anthony, a writer and project manager, worked to develop the stories and the plan to bring that vision to life.
