Overview

Ruah is the Hebrew word for ""breath"" or ""wind"" and is commonly referred to as the Holy Spirit. Each of us that have accepted Jesus as our Savior has the opportunity to listen to the Holy Spirit within them to live their life as God has intended. In 1927, in the small town of Monmouth, Maine, sixteen-year-old Simon Schafer has been called by God to become a disciple and to follow the Holy Spirit for the next six decades as he walks across the United States. The Holy Spirit guides him to weary souls in distress, where he offers them the sustenance that only the words of God can bring. With the completion of each calling, Simon leaves a portrait behind as a parting gift. A fifteen-year-old Katelyn Taylor loses her father in the Twin Towers attack on 9/11. She spirals into self-destruction to resurface as a young widow, having escaped her ghosts to relocate with her grandparents in Anderson, California. It is there that she finds a portrait created by a man seventy-five years in the past that will rock her future. Travel with Simon through time as his faith grows strong. Travel with Katelyn as she travels back through time to unravel the mystery of Ruah and, along the way, find her future in Christ.
