RU Screw: 101 Things Wrong With Rutgers

Overview

"Many students have expressed an experience commonly known as ""The RU Screw"", which costs students thousands of dollars every year and a loss of time leaving them severely drained. Some even become suicidal, and the rate is surprisingly higher than what most would believe. Most attending community college are looking to transfer to a 4-year school that is beneficial to their career prospects, and are usually between choosing Rutgers or some other state university like Monmouth or NJIT. Many have heard the hype about Rutgers supposedly being an ivy-league equivalent. Hold your horses before you put yourself in debt, because it would be wise to get a thorough accurate review of Rutgers from someone who is not part of the cult. Much like going to any other big-name university, the hype masks the reality, and the fact is Rutgers's reputation has been tarnished. It has become nothing more than a ultra liberalized institution of cut throat competition where you will be charged overly priced tuition and housing, and for third-world mass produced education taught by professors with thick foreign accents who don't have the time nor ability to effectively teach. You'll be seen as just a number and be treated accordingly. Whether you're in California or in NJ pondering about whether to make the trip to the east coast, this is a forewarning strategy to those contemplating as this book details what was witnessed during my first and last nightmare semester at Rutgers. Before you take out massive loans, read this to get a better idea of what you're getting into. It applies to Rutgers and likely most big-name state universities. You'll learn why it's a million times better to just commute to community college and then transfer to a different state college or university. Even if you must attend Rutgers, best to skip on the whole ""college experience"" and save your money by going to community college and transferring the maximum amount of credits so your time is spent for higher degree specific classes where you deal with less shenanigans as you would being an undergrad fresh from high school."
