Reviews

This colourful guide, beautifully illustrated by Kate McLelland, is one to slip in your backpack for adventures in woodland, mountain, seaside and meadow. Starting with tips for how, where and when to look for animals and plants, the book is divided into groups - from mammals and fish to invertebrates, amphibians, trees and wildflowers. There's a description plus a concise fact box for each listing, allowing for easy identification. With activities to try too, this is a great choice for budding nature watchers. * Countryfile on RSPB Nature Guide: Wildlife *
