Reviews

RSM Simplified is a thorough but succinct overview of response surface methods. It equips the typical engineer or industrial scientist with all that he will need to start using these powerful optimization techniques... -John D. Guerin, Ph.D., President, Turning Points Management Consulting, Inc. Anderson and Whitcomb have done it again. The perfect companion to their DOE Simplified, RSM Simplified leads the practitioner through the potentially dry and complicated subject of response surface methodology with ease. There are plenty of real-world examples and generous illustrations to detail current best practice in RSM. What truly sets their book apart, however, is the relaxed style and the liberal inclusion of anecdotes and historical perspectives which, without compromises in statistical rigor, gives the work a light, even entertaining quality. I highly recommend this book for Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma Black Belts - indeed anyone - with responsibilities for modeling and optimizing processes. -Thomas A. Scripps, Scripps & Associates, PC This book is perfect introductory material for quality and Six Sigma professionals who need to learn the tools for identifying critical process parameters and optimizing their processes. -Shin Ta Liu, Lynx Systems, San Diego, CA (in Quality Progress magazine)
