OverviewIn 1915, Elsbeth Ebertin combined her out-of-print pamphlets on mundane (political) astrology into a slim, first book titled Royal Nativities (Königliche Nativitäten). In this work, Ebertin accurately predicted the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of Tsar Nicholas II, which catapulted her to national fame. Thanks to the translation efforts of Dr. Jennifer Zahrt, who specializes in the history of astrology in German culture, and specifically in the oeuvre of Ms. Ebertin, Royal Nativities appears for the first time in English, casting new light on the status of political astrology in Germany during the whirlwind years of the Great War in Europe (1914--1918).
