Author Information

Liz Byrde and Matt Byrde are a married author-illustrator team. They live in a little house in the forest with their two children and a variety of cats, reptiles, and chickens. Liz is a therapeutic horticulture instructor for the Missouri Botanical Garden. Matt is the wildlife artist for the Missouri Department of Conservation. They spend their free time looking for turtles, playing in the creek with their kids, and making all manner of strange and crafty things. Their favorite place at the Missouri Botanical Garden is the English Woodland Garden.
