"""Rosie and the Secret of the Snogard"" is a TIMELESS story, whose rich STORYTELLING appeals to children and adults alike. It is set in a northern kingdom by the sea. Timid and neglected Rosie comes to live with her uncle, King Edmar, and discovers a young GARDENING DRAGON called Fridolin in the castle's lower gardens. They become FRIENDS. Unbeknown to them, Rosie's uncle is CURSED and has a year to break the spell or his life is forfeit to the EVIL ENCHANTRESS, the Lady Rosamund. When Rosie accidentally stumbles into a RUIN by the coast she witnesses an ancient battle. She also meets Lucinda, a TALENTED ARTIST, who has just settled in an old house by the coast and is beginning to be haunted by returning memories of a LOST CHILDHOOD FRIEND. As Rosie and Fridolin begin to AWAKEN AN OLD GARDEN, the curse is drawing closer and they slowly begin to realise that Fridolin's dragon stories and Rosie's discoveries, may all be connected to the kingdom's past, present and future."

"Olivia grew up in a village by the sea. Coming from a family of gardeners and with a mother fond of storytelling, she was very excited when she was finally able to read by herself and immerse herself in a world of books and stories. She has an MA in English Literature. She worked in caf s, as a support worker for people with learning difficulties, a teaching assistant in an SEN unit and taught in secondary schools. After a stint in a marketing company she now works in a bank where she spends her days trying to solve conundrums for her clients. In her spare time she loves to read, go for walks, listen to music, garden, watch wildlife, explore the coast and countryside, write and attempt the odd sketch. ""Rosie and the Secret of Snogard"" is her first novel. Its landscape was strongly influenced by that of Orkney, the Inner Hebrides and Shetland."
