Table of ContentsReviewsOlivia Wylie's book explores the connection between trees, ancient poetry, unusual botanical insights and a very old Irish writing system called Ogham. I was drawn back to the apple trees to learn more of their secrets. Olivia Wylie is not only the author of Roots: Insights From the Tree Alphabet of Old Ireland, she's also the illustrator. Her artwork melds each tree with the Ogham in a delightful mix. I quite recommend this book. In fact, I'm rooting for it! -Lori Alan Holuta, A Liscence To Quill I opened it and wow, beautiful! I'm taking it everywhere I go I have beautiful wood Ogham staves to learn about, the tree description, the pictures, for some reason I can't spell illastrations are lovely. I know the price seems high, but so worth buying)0( -Amazon Customer After reading excerpts from this book, I decided to order it. 'Roots: Insights From the Tree Alphabet of Old Ireland' is by far the best book on the Ogham Tree alphabet I have ever read. I'm trying to study one or two ogham a night, but I can't put it down. From the scientific names, to references in old Irish texts and myths, this book offers a heart felt look at the Ogham and the trees its based upon. Love it. -Dorothy Author InformationTab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
