Eventually, these ongoing processes will make superfluous many of the existing jobs. Shall we live a democratic future as we have known it until now? Will it be different because of the technological changes under way? What repercussions will they have for human relations? Graduate of the Autonomous University of Madrid he received his PhD at the Niels Bohr Institute of the University of Copenhagen. He has been researcher at the Royal Observatory of the University of Edinburgh and professor of Physics and Astronomy at Rutgers University and the University of Pennsylvania. His research is focused on the study of the origin and evolution of the universe. An expert in advanced statistical methods, he has contributed to the development of original techniques for cosmological data analyses. Recently, he has been Radcliffe Fellow at the Institute of Advance Studies of the University of Harvard.
