"I loved the art in this book. Capstone does such a wonderful job with every aspect of the Batverse in their line of books. This is a perfect book for an independent reader or for a family read-a-long.-- ""Fiction State of Mind blog"" In the first book, a fighter jet crashes on Paradise Island, requiring one of the best Amazons to battle Ares. Princess Diana asks her mother for permission to be the chosen one to enter the world of mortals. Queen Hippolyta refuses and decides to hold a special competition to decide who will go. Diana puts on a disguise and sets out to prove that she is Wonder Woman. In Robin's First Flight, junior-high student Tim Drake has spent the last six months training his mind and body to become Batman's sidekick. In order to move into this coveted role, he must pass one final test set by the Dark Knight. With help from Nightwing, Batman's former partner, Tim attempts to complete the task and the other obstacles that come his way to become the next Robin. In Deep Space Hijack, astronauts have crashed on Pluto and Superman is the only one who can save them. Faster than a speeding bullet, he soars off to rescue them. He discovers that Jimmy Olsen, the Daily Planet's young photographer, has hitched a ride aboard the spacecraft. That's not Superman's biggest problem, though. Evil Kanjar Ro attacks and the Man of Steel needs to summon the strength to defeat the space pirate while dealing with other challenges. Written in an easy-to-read chapter-book format with full-page, full-color cartoon illustrations interspersed, these books are sure to be a hit among budding superhero fans.-- ""School Library Journal"" The illustrators do an excellent job of recreating the vibrant and colorful illustrations of comic books.-- ""Children's Literature Comprehensive"" This review is courtesy of our network site LegionsOfGotham.org. Capstone Kids is putting out four new titles under their Batman line this Spring! Legions of Gotham was given a sneak peek at these great new books. I have to say that anyone intelligent enough to reach back and continue making Timm-verse Batman products is ok in our book! I think there are droves of fans that are missing these glory days already with this Brave and the Bold nonsense out there. These new books are great fun and they feature some comic writers we all know and love, including friends of the site - Robert Greenberger and Matthew K. Manning. The new titles include Killer Croc Hunter, Robin's First Flight, Two-Face's Double Take and Bat-Mite's big Blunder. If you're not familiar with these titles, the format is a great story featuring all bat-characters, typically by a well-known writer in the community, and artwork every few pages. We highly recommend these. They're available in both hardcover library binding (which I recommend for collectors) for about $19 each and softcover for about $6. http: //booklegiondotcom.blogspot.com/2010/01/new-batman-book-titles-from-capstone.html-- ""Book Legion"""
