Author Information

Gerry Embleton was born in London in 1941, and began illustrating whilst still at school, selling his first comic strip at the age of 14. He has since worked professionally as a prolific illustrator across many genres. His passionate interest in period costume and equipment led him to become a leading illustrator and researcher of historical military uniform, and an internationally respected authority on 15th and 18th century costumes.
