Worth joined the Times as a reporter on the metropolitan desk in 2000. In October 2007, it was announced that Worth would become a Middle East correspondent for the Times, succeeding Hassan M. Fattah. Worth is a graduate of Wesleyan University and has an M.A. and Ph.D. from Princeton University.
