Author Information

Henrik Juel is a Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Roskilde. During the period 1982 -1984, encompassed by the book, Juel was a postgraduate in that discipline and had little experience in shipbuilding or of the sea itself. By the end of the project, Juel was as competent as any medieval boat builder, even though one thousand years had passed between the ages.
