Sometimes, opportunities show up when you least expect them. So do the people you would rather forget you ever knew. Caitlin Rose is headed to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a singer-songwriter when she stops in Santa Fe to visit a friend. On a whim, she auditions for a role in a musical theatre production-and gets the part. Seizing the chance to fulfill a childhood dream, Caitlin puts her songwriting ambitions on hold to focus on the theatre and the theatrical community, but her growing visibility raises new concerns. After a healing ceremony with a wise Native American woman lifts a heavy burden from her heart, Caitlin is free to live the life she had always imagined was possible. She leaves New Mexico for LA, but events will soon conspire to draw her back to Washington, DC to testify at a congressional hearing about the use of mercury in vaccines-something Caitlin had researched several years earlier when she was working as an attorney for the US Department of Justice. Is this twist of fate a completion-or a new beginning?
