Debjani Mukherjee writes from personal experience, having harboured a childhood dream of becoming a pilot herself. Although she could not fulfill that particular dream, her love for flying and aviation has been a lifelong passion. She has explored various aspects of aviation, including para trooping, gliding, and power flying. Other hobbies include reading, blogging, hiking, kayaking, golfing, swimming, sailing, camping, stargazing, and eclipse-chasing. With a thirst for adventure and a love of nature, much like her protagonist, Debjani has trekked through the Amazon forest, explored the icy landscapes of Antarctica, and braved the challenges of climbing to the Mount Everest Base Camp Debjani holds a master's degree in physics from Kolkata University India, MBA from Edinburgh Business School UK and Data Science from Waterloo University Canada. She works as a CEO of a software consulting firm and a part-time professor at business colleges in Toronto. Her interest in gender equality and empowerment prompts her to advocate for change in her writing and inspire girls and women to dream big and make a positive impact on the world.
