Overview

Empress Adraca Mur's reign had started off smoothly until the first assassination attempt nearly claimed her life. Now she and Captain Reynolds find themselves struggling to uncover a plot to rob her of her life and throne. With no allies and few people they can trust, she and Reynolds must hold her fragile empire together while working against time and overwhelming odds to ferret out the traitors. Meanwhile, far to the south, Curt and Sarshia accompany a squad of heavily armed soldiers deep into the Elven province of Kaltha.
