Author Information

Gretchen Grossman (Mobley), was raised Catholic in Central Illinois. Following a five year stretch as a nun, she finished her degree and got married. She and her new husband, (an ex-seminarian), moved to Chicago. They had two children and big city lives. She was a teacher. He was a journalist. Together they carved out unusual experiences, which brought them immeasurable cultural thrills, both in Chicago and later in New York. Their personalities eventually shed new light onto unexplored revelations about one another, some welcome, others not. Possibly deliberately unconscious of rumblings beneath the surface, marriage offered both of them creative outlets, not always in tandem, but definitely unique to their family.
