OverviewWhen a woman finances realty for a maimed veteran, a previous owner plots to con the man out of it and eradicate the woman. * * * * * * * A woman driving a truck is spotted by an escaped prison trustee who follows on icy hills and attempts to run her off the road. The trustee loses control, the vehicle flips over and ejects her. Responding to police, the woman assumes the victim is a convict who killed her best friend. Set on vengeance, the trustee's husband was fatally shot by the woman in self-defense. A veteran calls the woman who flips realty. The woman is unaware a cellmate escaped with the trustee. The vet's cabin is the cellmate's hideout. The vet transformed the cellmate's appearance. The woman hired a welder for a construction project. The cellmate spies on them, thinking the woman has a thing for her former lover. With the new property secured, the cellmate beats the vet to death with a shovel and crams him into a metal foot locker. The cellmate confronts the woman alone and leaves her for dead. The woman goes to the police and soon recognizes the cellmate's mug on a WANTED poster. The woman and a friend spot the cellmate near a deep hole with the footlocker nearby. They bring good news for the vet. The vet's son helps the friend change a flat tire. The woman asks the cellmate about the vet. The cellmate strikes at the woman with a shovel. The woman finds a knife, throws it and strikes the cellmate. The cellmate removes the knife while the woman scrambles for the gun in her purse. The woman aims her gun at the cellmate who uses the son for a shield with the knife. The cellmate makes it to the tree-line, pushes the son head-long into a tree, hurls the knife at the woman and strikes the friend. The woman trails the woman into the woods to confront her. The woman offers the son his father's equity in the property. With the knowledge of an old gardening trick, the woman and the son search for the cache.
