Overview
"The Hessian and Bavarian Rhoen nature parks dominate the Rhoen hiking map. The Rhoen biosphere reserve lies between the two, and an inset map on the reverse is dedicated to the ""Black Mountains"" sub-area. With so much landscape worthy of protection and protected in the ""Land of the Open Distances"", it goes without saying that only a few towns can be found in this area. Bischofsheim is located in the center of the Rhoen, which has a particularly rich variety of flora and fauna. The hiking map presents extra tours that, together with the Hochrhoener as a 180 km long premium hiking trail, allow you to explore the region around the Kreuzberg (928 m above sea level)."
