Author Information

Richard Kim is a psychologist from Brisbane, Australia. He has worked in the sector since he graduated from the University of Queensland in 1992 and is the author of 4 books relating to the mind. He lives in the suburb of Karawatha with his wife and an adopted cat called Tom. Richard's interest in how the mind works started at a very young age and he has always had an inquisitive streak that he could seldom satisfy. His days, even at the age of 7, often involved researching books that examined complex problems and this has continued into his adult life. Having worked with patients for many years and frustrated by the seemingly endless rise of mental health problems, Richard decided to write about the subject so that he could reach a greater number of people. He has now written 4 books in total - Stop Overthinking, Rewire Your Brain, How to Stop Worrying and Reduce Stress and Anxiety, each of which tackles a different yet common complaint. In his spare time, Richard is a voracious reader of factual books and researches his favourite subjects endlessly. He also enjoys railway journeys, is fascinated by nature and likes traveling, with New Zealand, Indonesia and Fiji being among his favourite places to visit. As far as the future is concerned, Richard intends to write even more books, helping many other people to come to terms with and recover from conditions of the mind which can have such an adverse effect on their quality of life.
