OverviewDespite the significant advances in the medical field, the global challenge of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) remains a pressing issue. Although antiretroviral therapy (ART) has improved life expectancy and quality of life for those living with HIV, the virus continues to be a major global health burden, particularly in resource-limited settings. In recent years, the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has shown immense potential in overcoming some of these challenges, offering innovative solutions to enhance HIV care. However, there are significant challenges to the implementation of AI in HIV treatment. The potential of AI to optimize treatment, improve early diagnosis, predict disease progression, and identify therapeutic agents remains largely unexplored. Despite the promising results from AI-driven models in other areas of medicine, the full integration of AI into HIV care requires overcoming these technical, ethical, and regulatory challenges. Revolutionizing HIV Treatment With AI explores the complexities of HIV treatment and outlines how AI can transform HIV care. It addresses the ethical dilemmas and practical hurdles that must be overcome to ensure the safe and equitable application of AI technologies in managing HIV. This book covers topics such as algorithms, drug discovery, and medical prediction, and is a useful resource for engineers, medical and healthcare professionals, academicians, researchers, and scientists.
