Reviews

""Reviving the Remnant is a powerful and timely call to weary pastors and lay leaders who still believe God can ignite revival through the faithful few. With biblical depth, personal vulnerability, and practical hope, David Woolverton reminds us that the Spirit often breathes fire into flickering embers--not celebrity stages. This book is a sacred spark for anyone daring to say 'yes' to God again."" --Thom S. Rainer, Founder and CEO, Church Answers ""This book serves as a lifeline for every pastor who has ever felt the weight of isolation or wondered if their efforts are in vain. With wisdom, honesty, and practical application, David Woolverton reassures weary shepherds that God is still at work, that a faithful remnant exists within their congregation, and that God seeks the faithful rather than celebrities to lead them. This book will renew your confidence and restore your joy in the calling that God has given you."" --Dan Gulnac, Pastor of Leadership Development, Ephrata Community Church, Ephrata, Pennsylvania ""Woolverton rightly pierces the heart with this admonition: 'Churches need to stop simply filling slots and start casting vision. People don't want to be cogs in a church machine--they want to be vital parts of something eternal.' His description of true revival sharply contrasts with the empty and unnourishing drink we've all taken at the well of celebrity churches and religious influencers. This book will bring a much-needed ecclesiastical sigh of relief. But it will also bring challenge that knocks the wind out of ego and influence."" --Alisa Bair, author of A Table for Two ""Filled with hope, Dr. Woolverton, shares heartfelt illustrations and encouraging principles of God's paradoxical Kingdom where the least accomplish great things and the languishing are made strong. Dive into Reviving the Remnant for a fresh perspective, vital guidance for daily centering in the presence of God, and practical wisdom for leading others towards the next Awakening!"" --Jesse Gill, author of Green Zone: Attachment and Flourishing for Christian Leaders ""Woolverton gently reminds us, in whatever situation we find ourselves, that God is always with us and he can significantly use us in our weakness. Drawing upon biblical examples and church history, as well as from his own personal life experiences, he shows that we are not alone, that there has always been a faithful remnant that God uses to complete his working in this world. I highly recommend this book for everyone in ministry who is feeling overburdened by the good work they are doing and are headed for burnout. Woolverton shows us that as we are revived, we can once again thrive in our ministries."" --Larry Caldwell, Chief Academic Officer, Kairos University ""Reviving the Remnant is a salve for the weary souls of those in the church who feel worn out, worried, or discouraged about the future of the Body of Christ. As you apply its practical lessons, you will no doubt see the Lord move in and among your own community of faith."" --Jess Carey ""What makes David Woolverton's writing fantastic is that he is willing to delve deep into scripture and say what we already know but cannot hear due to culture's grip upon our attention. Engage this book and prepare for God's resurrection power to infuse you spiritually while he reassembles structurally what is broken and disconnected in your life and leadership."" --Dave Coryell, author of Less Like Hippos . . . More Like Honeybees ""David Woolverton makes a clear biblical case that God does not buy into the American idea of ministry success measured by crowds but rather is invested in fai
