When twelve-year-old twin sisters Carla and Jeanette moved to their new town of Arryn's Falls, they knew it'd be a lot to handle. New town. New school. Most nerve-wracking of all, making new friends. But at the end of the day, they'd always have each other. Until another student tells them about Arryn's Falls's local legend of an alleged evil witch who was killed thirty-one years prior. Social butterfly Jeanette, dying to lock in a friend group, decides she wants to know more. She gets her new squad to explore the house, where she injures herself, but finds a necklace that unwittingly sets into motion a spell that would bring the witch back to town. Carla listens as Jeanette starts telling her about nightmares in an alternate dimension, where children with black hole eyes and decaying skin beg for help and freedom. Carla fears the worst. Had her sister's accident been worse than the doctors thought? Was Jeanette really starting to believe the whole witch story? But when Jeanette suddenly goes missing, a message from the supposed witch reaches her, with an unreasonable request but a claim that her sister will be safe afterward. Carla works to overcome her social anxieties to work with her new friends and some old residents from the past to ensure the safety of her family, friends, and new town.
