Revise SQE Dispute Resolution is written for anyone preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1) assessment. The book covers the life of a civil claim including the different options of dispute resolution available, commencing civil proceedings, responding to a claim, making interim applications, case management, evidential considerations, costs and enforcement of judgments. The fundamental principles are explained with reference to practical examples and readers will be able to test their knowledge at the end of each chapter using SQE-style single best answer multiple-choice questions. This book incorporates the updates to the SQE Assessment Specification published in April 2023 and which came into force from 1 September 2023. Author Information

David Sixsmith is an Assistant Professor at Northumbria University. He was previously Senior Lecturer in Law and the programme leader for the Legal Practice Course and postgraduate SQE provision at the University of Sunderland. He is a non-practising solicitor and has previously been a partner at a high street firm. He is heavily involved with the development of profession-facing legal education and teaches dispute resolution and wills and administration of estates at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
