Having continued her higher education in the USA, Kannapha received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Princeton University, a master's degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California Berkeley, and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Since completing her studies, she has taught at the graduate school of Applied Statistics, National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Bangkok, Thailand. Focusing on the applied stochastic models in supply chain and revenue management, Kannapha's research articles have been published in journals and conferences, both in her native Thailand and internationally. Kannapha has provided consulting services for both Thai government organizations and private firm. Kannapha was also awarded an IATA certificate in Airline Revenue Management.
