Revenge and Redemption

Overview

About Revenge & Redemption: It's a fictional western shoot-em-up love story backdropped with actual history set in the 1870s. The story has an underlying theme regarding the despicable abuse of Native Americans. Despite that and justified violence, it's filled with characters with good hearts who educate and enlighten. The protagonist is a half-breed, God-fearing, West Texas farm boy turned Union soldier and cowpuncher named Luke. He is visually intimidating yet charming and engages evildoers without hesitation. He's a formidable adversary in a gunfight due to his sharpshooter training in the Civil War. Luke kills an evil greedy tyrant to avenge the murder of his brother-in-law (Revenge). During the act, he finds a small fortune in stolen money. He flees from Amarillo to Kansas City and has chance encounters with the U.S. Cavalry, Indians, bandits, political leaders, and lawmen, and falls in love. Though always outnumbered, he singlehandedly defeats bandits in the act of harming others. Luke returns to the town where he committed the crime, finds it's on the verge of collapse, and believes it's his fault. He uses the stolen money to buy a ranch and reconcile his crime by reviving the town with good deeds (Redemption). The story is embellished using famous people and events, each with an end note that permits the reader to research them further. I hope you enjoy reading my story.
