Brigadier Jogindar Singh is an alumnus of NDA, an Air OP Pilot as also a gallant awardee of 1971 War. A distinguished Gunner with about 34 years of Army service, he is a third-generation army veteran. Qualified on Defence Services Staff College & Long Gunnery Staff Course; he holds a degree of MSc (Defence Studies) & Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management. He has held many challenging appointments on Management, Instructional, Staff & Command in the Army, the last one being the Brigadier Administration who was instrumental in providing sound foundation in establishment of Army Training Command. Post retirement, he was appointed as a Special Director in Board of Industrial & Financial Reconstruction. He has also been a faculty member in HRD & Training, conducted programs on general management subjects like leadership, team building, communications, personality development and been on the selection panels for Interviews. A veteran glider pilot & rider, he loves swimming & golf. Has been taking an active part in the welfare of Ex-Servicemen. He was commissioned into the Regiment of Artillery in 1973 and had the distinction of being awarded the SILVER GUN, BEST COMMANDO and SILVER AUSTER TROPHY in the initial years of his service career. He represented India to establish the first UN Mission at Angola in 1989. He has been a graduate of Long Gunnery Staff Course, Defence Services Staff Course, Long Defence Management C ourse and earned his M.Phil. Degree at IIPA, New Delhi. As an aviator, he was also a Qualified Flying Instructor. He served with the Army for over 36 years and thereafter with the Border Security Force (BSF) as a DIG for another four years. He has also been a Director of an Educational Institute located near Nashik and President of Rotary Club. An avid reader, he is fond of adventure activities and a keen golfer.
