Revelation of Revelation

Overview

Many years have passed since I felt compelled to write this book, how many years I cannot recall. In consideration of much that is referenced to the Book of Revelation by other writers, I will no longer procrastinate. This is my endeavor to decipher the symbols and references and allusions contained within the last Book of the New Testament, and to provide an understandable rendition of my conclusions. After deference to the Holy Spirit and Greek New Testament, I give special acknowledgement for guidance and inspiration in preparing this manuscript to Dr. Leroy L. Oesch, my long-time pastor and father; to Dr. Gene Miller, my New Testament Greek professor; to Richard M. Bradley who wrote a book entitled Scenes From the Throne; and to Earnie and Mary Kroeger whose writings provide educational and insightful information. And there are many others who have contributed to my thinking and conclusions over years of church services, Sunday school lessons, revival meetings, academic educational courses, and theological discussions. The author is a lifetime student of the Bible, having grown up in church as the eldest son of a preacher. He has served as a Sunday school teacher, children's church director, church choir director, and has delivered a number of evangelical sermons. His education includes graduating summa cum laude from what is now Houston Christian University, and then graduating from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston. After graduating from medical school, he acquired advanced communications training at Bob Jones University, and then pursued the study of New Testament Greek at Gulf Coast Bible College, now Mid-America Christian University. He has always been one to seek truth, regardless of any denominational dogma or humanistic tradition.
