Reunion: Earthforce Saga #25

Overview

The Earthforce Saga Continues into Volume #25 seeing the colony at Rigel-Jivanta abandoned and a move is made to the Atlas System in the Pleiades to join Chandros. This becomes the first of several migrations the fleets must make in this volume, as they learn the Jinn arrival is coming much earlier than they believed. Arriving at the Pleiades, Karpov finds that the Saurian Centaurids have already returned from Gulliver-9 to effect a reunion with the other two colonies, and now the united three colonial expeditions must set off to find new worlds and hide from the Jinn. They must first remove all evidence of their presence on Atlas-Prime. A temporal recon will reveal that the danger posed by the Jinn is near, prompting Fedorov to lead the combined expedition into and beyond the massive dark molecular clouds of the Cygnus Rift. There, they make an amazing discovery left behind by some ancient advanced alien race, finding strange facilities within a large accretion disk and orbiting a star they call Falcon-A. But after occupying part of these facilities, they soon realize they are not alone there, and that some hidden and unseen entity lurks in the background. With space limited in these alien facilities, Commander Arras is given permission to leave the combined fleet and seek out Startide Beta to return to the region of the old Centaurid Empire to look for survivors. Another short ten year temporal recon then stuns Karpov when he finds that both his colony and that of Chandros have completely disappeared, prompting the officers on Orion then struggle to find when this happened. They must narrow their search down to find one of the 3650 days they leapt over, and Tyrenkov provides an ingenious solution.
