Reviews

An invaluable little book that reveals the untold human side of the warrior mindset with brutal honesty. From Nazi Germany to modern Iraq, there's a perfect balance of bravado and self-deprecation that can only come from war veterans. The book offers immense therapeutic value for both writer and reader; a powerful collection of raw narratives that are all at once shocking, horrifying, heartbreaking, and laughout-loud funny. It doesn't get any more real than this.--Grant Murray, former counterterrorist agent, U.S. Department of Homeland Securit
