Book 4 of Money: Learning the Basics consists of understanding and learning a little about retirement. In this short Amazon Kindle book, I will discuss the basics about saving for your retirement. Whether your 18 years old and starting or 55 years old and getting ready to retire. It is never to early or even to late to start thinking about it. First, I discuss about how the current economic depression and how unprepared people were for the down turn. This will help you to get serious about your retirement because all of your savings can be gone and then what. This is why in Anthony Robbins new book he talks about Ray Dalio's all weather investing a diversified portfolio.This is why putting all your eggs in one basket is not that good. Second, I discuss about a little history of Social Security, Pensions, and 401(K). In the beginning it worked, but recently it has run into problems. Pensions were replaced by 401(K) and Social Security runs into problems now that people are living 20 years past retirement. Then I discuss a little about IRA's, Insurance and Bonds. I don't know much, but I did my best to explain and give you ideas on what might be the best option for you. Next, I discuss about royalties. Money that could last well after your gone. It could keep paying while your working or after you are working. Finally, I ask the question, what do you do when your retired? As much as it is important to make money. It is more important what you will do with your time. Either it is a dream vacation or a donation to your favorite charity. It is up to you. Retirement is a part of life. Either you are going to be bitter and broke or enjoy life until you pass on with money. That's why it is better to start thinking about it wherever you are in life.
