Author Information

Carol Mithers is a journalist who has written about Los Angeles and extraordinary women for over thirty years. Her work has appeared in the New York Times; Los Angeles Times; LA Weekly; O, the Oprah Magazine; and elsewhere. She is the author of three books, including Mighty Be Our Powers: How Sisterhood, Prayer, and Sex Changed a Nation at War, written with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Leymah Gbowee, which was a finalist for the Dayton Literary Peace Prize and has been reprinted in fourteen languages. Christina Delaine is a SOVAS Voice Arts Award and multiple AudioFile Earphones Award-winning narrator who has recorded over 100 audiobooks. She is also an Audie Award nominee. An accomplished stage and voice actor, Delaine has appeared on stages across the country and has voiced scores of commercials and video games.
