Reviews

The engaging perspectives and careful research that characterize these essays make for a very useful and innovative collection of work. Truly multidisciplinary in scope, the collection will appeal to students and scholars of Music and French Studies, as well as to a much broader public, as it truly offers a compelling rethinking of the life and work of the celebrated, inventive, and complex man who was Claude Debussy. --H-France Review Rethinking Debussy arrives at an opportune time to showcase new perspectives and challenge previous interpretations. The questions these essays raise, and the data they present, will interest both the specialist looking for fresh angles on the subject and the educated general reader wanting to survey the current state of research. --Notes Highly Recommended. -- James Tobin
