Reviews

"""The perfect teen slasher: bloody, laugh-out-loud funny, and with a mascot destined to join classic horror icons. Readers will tear through this book in one sitting."" --Trang Thanh Tran, New York Times bestselling author of She Is a Haunting ""Full of blood, guts, parrot costumes, and twists that will make you gasp - the perfect Halloween comedy for all you queer slasher fans!"" --Andrew Joseph White, New York Times bestselling author of The Spirit Bares Its Teeth and Hell Followed With Us ""Delightfully unhinged! A non-stop thrill ride that conjures up all the joys of a 90s slasher flick."" --Christine Calella, author of The Final Curse of Ophelia Cray ""A compelling mystery-thriller that channels all the best parts of campy slasher fics. With a bloodstained-yet-sweet romance at its core, Rest in Peaches (and Little Peaches, and the best Peaches to ever Peach) squawked, baby-kissed and back-flipped its way into my heart."" --Leanne Yong, CBCA shortlisted author of Two Can Play That Game ""Zany, propulsive, and unapologetically queer. If you're a fan of deftly plotted thrillers that are also full of heart, PTA chaos, and a healthy side of parrotphernalia (with a few dead bodies thrown in the mix), this one's for you."" --P. H. Low, author of These Deathless Shores ""A twisty, suspenseful, campy, hilarious Peach-perfect romp of a slasher that will keep the pages turning and the excitement high. The dynamic cast of characters lead by two brilliant sapphic Filipino Final Girls will have readers at the edge of their seats, cackling and ma-cawing, until the satisfying, action-packed end."" --Justine Pucella Winans, Stonewall Honor Book Award recipient, author of Bianca Torre Is Afraid of Everything ""An edge of your seat, thrilling slasher sure to delight YA Horror fans, with punchy humor, twists at every turn, a queer romance to root for! Readers are going to eat this one up!"" --Lisa Springer, author of There's No Way I'd Die First ""Wickedly funny, riotously queer, and delightfully unhinged, Rest in Peaches is both a love letter to and a send-up of the classic teen slasher."" --Rebecca Mahoney, author of The Valley and the Flood and The Memory Eater ""The funniest book I've read in years, and ultimately a perfect horror comedy. Peaches the Parrot is a horror icon, and we all should bow to Peaches' genius. Starring queer Filipina final girls who you're certain to root for at every twist and turn, Rest in Peaches is an unhinged delight."" --Cody Roecker, Teen Librarian, Naperville Public Library"

"""Brown imbues Quinn and Tessa's alternating perspectives with distinct and satisfyingly parallel journeys [...]. [Rest in Peaches'] comedic blend of blood and banter make it a fun and gratifying ode to classic slasher films like Scream."" --Publishers Weekly ""The perfect teen slasher: bloody, laugh-out-loud funny, and with a mascot destined to join classic horror icons.
