Author Information

Prof. Dr. Erkut Akkartal is an academic and researcher specializing in econometrics, quantitative methods, and logistics management. He is a professor at Yeditepe University, where he has held various administrative roles, including department head and quality board member. With a Ph.D. in Econometrics from Istanbul University and additional master's degrees in Management Science and Statistics, he has an extensive academic background. His research interests encompass supply chain management, sustainability, digital transformation, and risk assessment. He has supervised numerous graduate theses, authored multiple books, and published extensively in peer-reviewed international journals. Before academia, he served in the Ministry of National Defense, gaining practical experience in logistics management. Prof. Akkartal continues to contribute to the field through teaching, research, and editorial responsibilities in scholarly publications. Dr. Filiz Mızrak earned her Ph.D. in Management Strategies from Istanbul Medipol University, Institute of Social Sciences, with a dissertation focusing on regional customer satisfaction analysis in the civil aviation sector. She currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Information Systems at Istanbul Atlas University. Prior to this role, she worked as a lecturer at Istanbul Medipol University from 2015 to 2023, gaining extensive experience in interdisciplinary business education. Dr. Mızrak has made significant academic contributions across aviation management, strategic decision-making, logistics, and cybersecurity. She has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, international book chapters, and conference papers. Her work frequently applies advanced decision-making methodologies such as AHP, DEMATEL, and fuzzy logic to address real-world challenges in aviation, energy, and logistics sectors. In addition to publishing in leading journals such as Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives, Energy Reports, Heliyon, and Sustainability, she has also served as an editor for several international books with IGI Global. Dr. Mızrak’s recent research explores digital transformation, cybersecurity fatigue, aviation sustainability strategies, and human factors in emerging technologies. Her scholarly activities reflect a commitment to integrating strategic theory with practice, contributing to both academic knowledge and industry advancement.
