S. L. Jamison has a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Science and a Master's in Speech Pathology, which led to a fulfilling career teaching children how to speak. She has had a lifelong fascination with and connection to crystals and is a certified crystal practitioner and Master of Crystology, which inspired her Dragonfly of the Gourts series.
