Reviews

""This textbook offers an approachable introduction to the world of academic research, providing exactly the kind of clear, digestible guidance that first-time researchers need. It lays a solid foundation for understanding not only the 'how to' of research but also the mindset and competencies required to embark on an initial research project with confidence. Written in accessible language and enriched with practical, well-chosen examples, it demystifies core concepts without oversimplifying them. Importantly, the book is fully contemporary - thoughtfully integrating discussions of research ethics and the evolving role of AI in research design. For students taking their first steps into scholarly inquiry, this textbook will be an invaluable and empowering companion."" * Kasha Minor, Co-Program Director MSc Luxury, International University of Monaco * ""This textbook demystifies research methods and translates them into a practical business tool that anyone working in the tourism and leisure sector can use. This pragmatic guide is not only well-structured and brought to life with relevant real-life examples, it also prompts you to ask the right questions so you can get to the heart of your business challenges and opportunities."" * Sheena Corry, Founder and Director, The Forge Corwen Ltd * ""Its sharp, sector-specific focus immediately solves the relevance gap found in generic research methods textbooks. The book expertly guides students through the entire research lifecycle, from initial concept to final execution providing real world examples. Crucially, its detailed coverage of research ethics prepares future professionals for responsible practice. This is a must-have resource for any serious Tourism, Hospitality, Leisure and Events student."" * Éamonn Furey, Lecturer, Atlantic Technological University, Sligo, Ireland *
