Overview

Spirits must not linger... Scarred by childhood trauma, Kaedra chose Brother Lukoan as her reason for existing. Kaedra hates her calling, while Lukoan embraces his. Her haunting voice sings spirits to the afterlife; his melodious song heals the living body. When war engulfs the land, the overwhelmed Order of Eternity sends out Kaedra and Lukoan before they finish training. Surrounded by life silenced too soon, Kaedra questions the need to say goodbye. Her doubt changes the meaning of life and death. Heartbreaking but beautiful, Requiem follows one woman's heart as she comes to accept her calling, her emotions, and her grief.

Author Information

Amity writes fantasy for young adults. While she can't seem to stick to one fantasy subgenre (fairytales, dragons, death, everything is possible), all of her stories feature a heroine who discovers not only her purpose in her world but who uncovers truths buried in her own heart. When not writing, Amity takes care of four delightful daughters and daydreams of taking an uninterrupted nap. If she couldn't be a mom and author, Amity would be a stormchaser due to a lifelong love of lightning and a fascination with tornadoes. Growing up in Kansas will do that to you.
