Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationShalin Hai-Jew works as an instructional designer at Kansas State University (K-State); she teaches for WashingtonOnline (WAOL). She has taught at the university and college levels for many years and was tenured but left tenure to pursue instructional design work. She taught in the People’s Republic of China from 1988 – 1990 and 1992 – 1994, the latter two years with the United Nations Volunteers Programme of the UNDP. She has Bachelor’s degrees in English and psychology and a Master’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Washington (where she was a Hugh Paradise Scholar); she has an Ed.D. (2005) in Educational Leadership with a focus on public administration from Seattle University where she was a Morford Scholar.
