He was previously Jean Monnet post-doctoral Fellow at the EUI and Visiting Fellow at the European Union Institute for Security Studies in Paris. He holds a PhD in international relations from the London School of Economics. He has published works on EU-China and EU-East Asia relations and co-edited (with Costanza Musu) the book European Foreign Policy in an Evolving International System: The Road towards Convergence.
