Religion Refuted: Debunking the case for God

Overview

Religion faces a serious problem. The problem is that religion, whether conservative or liberal, Eastern or Western, ancient or modern, stands in opposition to the expert consensus in science, philosophy, and history. Religion Refuted is your guide as you -Examine the philosophical arguments for and against God in uncommon depth. -Explore how the human brain works to provide the foundations of reason and morality. -Embark on a fascinating tour of our universe and an ominous preview of its fate. -Journey back to the early days of Christianity in search of the historical Jesus. The author escorts you on this journey with competence, dry humor, and a deep passion for the truth. You'll understand the issues like never before. And you'll have fun.

Author Information

Daniel K. Chaney has lectured, appeared on podcasts, and participated in the development of the Atheos app used by Street Epistemologists. He became curious about the nature of God at age fourteen while listening to his neighbor preach in the local church. He continued to pursue his interest in religion while at Queens University. After decades of studying religion, philosophy, and science, he decided to write a book that critically examines the most popular religious arguments in a casual tone, yet without losing the subtlety of the reasoning. His primary interest is in the tension between religion and the expert consensus among scientists, philosophers, and historians. You are invited to contact Chaney by visiting www.religionrefuted.com. He is always eager to hear from readers.
