Joseph Laycock is an associate professor of Religious Studies at Texas State University. He is the co-editor for the journal Nova Religion and the author of multiple books on religion. Natasha Mikles is a lecturer in Asian Religions in the Religious Studies program at Texas State University. She is the editor of the Journal of Gods and Monsters, as well as the author of numerous articles related to popular Buddhist literature.
