Ellen-Marie Silverman earned a Ph.D. in Speech Pathology from the University of Iowa and later trained as a transactional analysis counselor. She is a mother, grandmother, and artist whose drawings, paintings, and installations have been included in various juried art shows. She is the author of Mindfulness & Stuttering and The Jason Loring Trilogy, an account of living with a stuttering problem, which includes the children's novel Jason's Secret and its sequels, winning, and SheGate.
