Author Information

Dr. Teresa Mulhern has been involved in a wide range of research studies focusing on the application of behavioural strategies to both typically developing and developmentally disabled populations. For instance, she has conducted research on the utility of a Relational Frame Theory-based approach to facilitate class inclusion responding among typically developing three- to four-year-olds and individuals with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Teresa obtained her BA (hons) in Psychology from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2011. She subsequently completed an MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis at the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2013. She completed her PhD on “Testing and Developing Procedures for Assessing and Training Hierarchical Classification Skills in Young Children Using Relational Frame Theory” at the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2017. Teresa is also a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA-D) working with Behaviour Detectives. In addition to her applied work, Teresa is also currently teaching in South East Technological University in Wexford and teaches on modules including “Psychology, Mental Health and Neurodiversity”, “Psychology, Adjustment and Alternative Views”, “Child Development” and “Psychology and Positive Change”.
