Doctrine. The very word sounds dull and divorced from the practical problems of daily life. Worse yet, discussions of doctrine often degenerate into debate and division. Whole denominations have been formed because of a doctrinal issue. The presence of a body of truth in the Bible, known as doctrine, poses several questions.
