A prevalência da síndrome metabólica em mulheres parece estar a aumentar, particularmente naquelas em idade fértil. Este estudo teve como objetivo investigar a possível relação de cinco polimorfismos (pre-miRNA-146a rs2910164, MPO -463G/A rs2333227, apelin rs2235306, chemerin rs17173608 e vaspin rs2236242) com a síndrome metabólica em mulheres egípcias.
