He is also Professor of Business and Finance at Nova University. Previously, he was corporate chief economist at CIGNA/INA Corporation, senior vice president and economist for the Girard Bank, and vice president and economist for Manufacturers Hanover. His books include Insurance Company Finance and Investment (with David J. Nye); An Analysis of the New Financial Institutions; Banks, Thrifts and Insurance Companies: Survival in the 1980s; and The Insider's Guide to the Financial Services Revolution.
