OverviewNothing about her world is as she believed it to be . . . When Woodside fell, Remy Angellette and her friends barely escaped with their lives and were left scrambling to find a new place to call home. But Brandt Evans is missing, taken by the very people he called for help. Remy is determined to find him, but she doesn't know where to start looking. And to make matters worse, she's dealing with strange side effects from the cure to the Michaluk Virus that could endanger them all. As Remy and her friends set out on a mission to find Brandt, she resolves to do everything in her power to locate him--or die trying. The search takes her back into the heart of Atlanta, into the very city where her life changed. And what she finds there are seeds of a betrayal she didn't expect and a world wholly different than what she and her friends believed it to be after the Michaluk Virus struck. With her world turned on its head and her infection symptoms getting worse, Remy finds herself dealing with the biggest challenge of her life . . . and she has no idea if she's going to survive it. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationJessica Meigs is the author of The Becoming, a post-apocalyptic thriller series that follows a group of people trying to survive a massive viral outbreak in the southeastern United States. After self-publishing two novellas that now make up part of the first book in the series, in April 2011, she accepted a deal with Permuted Press to publish the story as a series of novels. The first of the series, entitled The Becoming, was released in November 2011 and was named one of Barnes & Noble's Best Zombie Fiction Releases of the Decade by reviewer Paul Goat Allen. Five more novels followed. In 2019, Jessica began self-publishing again, this time exploring a new universe with the Unnaturals series, in which a group of government-employed agents discover that the wheels of the Biblical apocalypse are in motion and they're the only ones who can stop it. In late 2020, after obtaining the rights for the series back from the publisher, Jessica began reissuing the Becoming series in revised and expanded editions. The new editions of the series are available now on all major eBook retailers, with new novels in the series coming soon. Jessica lives in semi-obscurity in Demopolis, Alabama. When she's not writing, she works full-time as an editor, copyeditor, and proofreader. She can be found on a variety of social media platforms and on her website at jessicameigs.com.
